I have studied and practiced Hatha Yoga in the UK under teachers such as Vitor Borges and Ruth Perron and in India under Rishi Dharmajyoti at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in Nasik. I have come to understand that Yoga is a lifelong practice of respiring, of breathing into and releasing that which presents obstacles within our own mind, body and heart.  Yoga is a lifestyle, it isn't just the phsycial postures or the breathing techniques that one performs on the mat, it is an holistic approach to living.  One begins to feel the mind/body/spirit connection and live one's life accordingly.

"Yoga stimulates my desire to achieve physical, mental and emotional alignment.  I am in love with the body and its phenomenal design and continue to devour books on anatomy, movement and the bodily systems.  Personally, my Yoga practice is my gift to my body, mind and spirit.  Through doing the asanas, I work on the entire bodily systems, cultivating natural alignment within the body, mind & spirit.  Each individual experience the profound mental and spiritual benefits on different levels but they are certainly present.

My teaching incorporates my love for anatomy and I aim to foster an understanding within my students that the body is a divine mechanism; we have to learn to understand the body in order to experience it’s full potential.  Thus, my focus is on respecting and honouring your own body, practicing at your own individual pace through bringing awareness into each and every part of the body.  The result being that one cultivates a deep awareness on how the body moves, functions and communicates.

I obtained a Yoga Alliance Certification in Hong Kong under the most incredible instructor, Wanda Hewitt.  She continues to inspire me beyond words and truly is one of the Great Mothers."  - Adri
